Job description

  • Previous Trade Support/Control reconciliation and trade tie out experience
  • Working knowledge of Commodity Products, physical and/or derivative
  • Develop an understanding of the Crude Oil market and fundamentally understand how it pertains to the Trade Support role.
  • Monitoring and maintenance of all trades booked from execution to settlement..
  • Support various Trading desks across all Middle-Office functions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure all trades are appropriately booked abiding to terms of underlying agreement in both Front-Office and down-stream applications.
  • Collaborate closely with Front and Back Office to investigate, reconcile and quickly resolve trade breaks.
  • Partner with Product Control teams to identify and resolve P&L issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively work in a high pressure environment adhering to deadlines while simultaneously seeking to improve all process efficiencies.
  • Assist in the streamlining and enhancement of all Trade Control functions and procedures and become actively involved with system development (technical enhancements, new product release and automation of existing processes.)
  • Manage time effectively and actively seek to take on additional responsibilities. Learn other roles within the Americas Commodities Trade Control Team to increase understanding of the role and provide cover. 
Enterprise Description:
Supervises trade booking and trade validation. Responsible for the analysis and resolution of a wide variety of complex products that may require special handling or exception reporting. Supports ongoing trade maintenance and reporting and supports the implementation of improvements to the system infrastructure and control environment. Introduces new initiatives, products and services, and procedural, systems or hardware solutions to improve efficiency. Provides analyses. Requires product experience and knowledge of financial instruments accounting relevant to the area supported. Provides general team guidance. May provide input to recruiting and hiring & performance mgt processes. BA preferred or substantially equivalent experience. Typically 5-7 years of applicable experience. To be used for employees in Global Markets only.

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across the wider investment bank and support groups;
  • Self motivated with the ability to work independently and on part of a team to ensure deadlines are met;
  • Strong desktop application skills (PowerPoint/Word/Excel)
  • Good problem solving skills for numerous reconciliations
Desired Skills:
  • Understanding of Derivatives and/or Commodity Products
  • Previous reconcillation Trade Support experience
  • Working knowledge of SolArc RightAngle, OpenLink Endur, ICE Clearing, ClearPort Clearing, Bloomberg
  • High energy and strong sense of urgency
