Job description

Manages diverse administrative functions usually for a very large, complex department or business unit. Functions managed may include: financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, premises, and coordination of certain projects, associate training, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, or communication. May consult with senior management to define and manage projects that encompass and impact many associates. Requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business unit's functional area or products. Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices. May have full management responsibility over a team or may manage one level of managers. This position may be subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing. If your position requires SAFE Act registration, you will be required to register and to submit to the required SAFE Act background check and registration process. Failure to obtain and/or maintain SAFE Act registration may result in your immediate termination.

Job Description

This is a Business Management role working for the Global Markets Operations Technology (GMOT) COO office. This role will manage the business management function for the GMOT Reference Data team. The candidate should be able to manage across a diverse, large area as the Technology team is based globally.

Core Responsibilities
• Financial Management: Budgeting, forecasting, and tracking for Change the Bank and Business as Usual activities; Total cost of ownership (TCOA) management within Technology and working closely with our business sponsors to ensure they have transparency to our costs, strategy and plans. The individual will be heavily involved in ensuring that annual planning is completed and that the commitments made on spend and saves are fully understood
• Resource Management: Resource availability and utilization tracking and reporting; departmental recognition awards; leavers & joiners, hiring process; promotions, talent & skill-set management; location strategy and office space management. The individual will be helping with close management of these functions
• Vendor Management: Statements of Work, Licenses, Vendor engagement and ensuring that the contracts are the best solution for the team
• Close coordination with the Global Markets Operations Technology Project Managers, Business Management and Project Management Office functions locally & globally, as well as with LOB business management and central PMO organization contacts
• Accountability to prepare and understand complex project summaries, with an ability to highlight potential areas of concern, risk or change to senior managers in multiple locations
• Management Reporting: Reporting and communications to key stakeholders in Technology and Business; project budget monitoring and control
• Project Framework: Ensuring that artefacts, processes and best practices within the organisation’s programme and project methodologies are followed & maintained 
Requirements
• Budgeting/Financial Management expertise
• Knowledge of Global Markets Operations processes and technology
• Self starter with ability to work to short deadlines across multiple time zones.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in an organised manner, whilst ensuring quality & timeliness of the delivered results.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent Stakeholder Management with the ability to build and establish relationships
• High level influencing skills and ease in working with Senior Management
• Strong knowledge of Standard Office Software Applications, Specifically PowerPoint & Excel
